Does anyone know anything about this Mathews family? I assume that they
lived in Grundy Co. (Incidentally, my last name is Mathews, but only
through marriage.....I'm related to Sarilda through her marriage to Dr.
Mantlo. I'm sure my husband's Mathews family isn't connected to the Grundy
Co. family....just coincidence).

I am looking for any information on Franklin CHESNUT and Jennie FOSTER who married in Myers, Grundy Co. on June 14, 1882. They had three daughters, all
born in Grundy Co... Mettie, Liza, and Ethel. I have no information on
Jennie Foster. Would like to know who her parents were.
PASCHAL, George was born 6-6-1892, possibly in Grundy Co., but is
reported to have died 1-24-1941 in Trenton, Mo. but buried in Riverview
Cemetery in Louisiana, Mo.
Probably son of Addison F. and Martha Rebecca FROST PASCHAL . Can anyone

Grundy Co. George was married to a Ruth McHenry. I do not know if she was from Grundy

I am looking for information on my grandparents Lydia Jane BAULT and George
William HUFFER. Lydia Bault was born in Watson, Mo in 1878. Her parents
were Jake BAULT and Nancy RICHARDSON. Lydia married George Huffer about 1898.
Records indicate he was born in Indiana. This was his second marriage. Lydia
BAULT died in 1954 and is buried at Maple Grove Cemetary in Trenton. She and
my grandfather lived in Trenton in 1920. One of their sons, Theordore HUFFER
also lived in Trenton. Two other sons, Forest and Kenith HUFFER, lived in
California. Forest Huffer was my father. Any information about my
grandparents, their ancestors or their family would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for information on Ira and Seporah (Hymes) ARNOLD. Buried in
Trenton, MO. They had ten children. Seporah was born in Maryland and

I'm looking for information about Sarilda (Harless) Mantlo MATHEWS
(1854-1921). She was married to Dr. William W. Mantlo in Sullivan County
27 Feb 1870. They are found living in Sullivan Co. in the 1870 and 1880
censuses. In the 1900 census they are in Mercer Co. Dr. Mantlo died in
1903 and Sarilda married someone by the last name of Mathews. Does anyone
know who or when she married? She died 27 Nov 1921 and is buried in the
Lindley Cemetery. Her place of death listed on her death certificate is
Laredo, Grundy Co., MO.

HOWARD, John Baker, married Rebecca WILLIAMS in Grundy Co, 3 Jan 1841. He was born in MD ca. 1786, went to VA, from where he served in the War of 1812, and
married his first wife, Mary SEMONES, in Bedford Co, VA, in 1807. Spent some
time in KY and IN, and when moving to MO in 1839, Mary died somewhere in IL.
Two children, Harriet and Geo B., were born to John Baker and Rebecca in
Grundy Co, and 4 more in Mercer Co, after 1844. (He was the father of 8
children with his first wife.) Does anyone have info on this family? I am particularly interested in finding who John Baker´s parents were. Thanks for any help anyone can give.

I am looking for information about Bertha COLWELL (the

beautiful and died when she was between 19 and 21. She married Sampson
Sherman HUGHS on November 16, 1912 and was the daughter of Dennis Colwell

in the Grundy area in the 1800's. My great great grandfather was John
MUNN born 1803 and I think he is related to these MUNNs in Grundy. My
great grandfather, John MUNN was born 1837 in Ohio, but in later years
lived in Gaynor and Parnell, Missouri. John MUNN from 1803 was also in
