Sandridge Family Cemetery, Grundy County, MO
This information recorded by Mrs. B. F. Hoover and Mrs. O. L. Livingston in 1963:
This cemetery is located approximately 1/2 mile South of State Road
WW in Jefferson Township; S22-T60N-R25W, Grundy County, Missouri. It is about 300 ft. from the Elvin Whorton house. A small plot fenced and according to local legend contains unmarked graves of 2 or 3 slaves. Also, it is said
that the unmarked grave of C. P. Pepper is there. In the early days of the
county, guerilla bands roamed the country. They called C. P. Pepper to the door one night and shot him.
