My husband´s grandfather was John W. Gerren. He married Rosannah Robertson in October 1896 in Trenton, Grundy Co. I would like to know where this John W. Gerren was born. He died in Edinburgh in March 1930. This is my husband´s grandfather. We are trying to find out more information on him. We have all of his grandmother´s information on the Robertson side, except for the Robertson´s who went to Kingfisher OK in the late 1890s and early 1900s.

William Bunyon CROUCH- Lived in Trenton, Mo, Grundy Country from around 1873-1881. He was killed in a train accident in 1881; he worked as a brakeman at the time. Looking for newspaper report of accident plus obit if possible. He also had three sons born in the area Guy L CROUCH 1875, Elmer Alexander CROUCH 1876 and Will Bunyon CROUCH Jr. IN 1881. I am trying to find the place of birth of Edward Morton Crawford. He was city collector of Trenton for 1905 and was re-elected in 1907. From 1901 to 1905 he was county treasurer and for four years previous to that time he was collector of Trenton township. He married my grandmother, Leah Elizabeth Campbell in 1877 in Trenton. She is the daughter of A.J. Campbell and Mary Quinn. Both Edward and Elizabeth are buried in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. I can find no record of Edward´s family except that he came to Missouri when a boy, in about 1858 and has since been a resident of Grundy. Any information regarding his parents or place of birth in Ohio would be appreciated. His son was Edward and daughter, Maud Rader.

JOHNSON Andrew Jackson, born January 23, 1844 and died December 25, 1941. "Jack" is buried in Coon Creek Cemetery. He was married to Cynthia Ann DAVIDSON. She died between 1896 and 1902. He lived in Daviess and Gentry counties before coming to Grundy County. Cynthia is buried in a cemetery near McFall, MO. They had fourteen children, so hopefully a descendant will answer my query of my great grandfather.

On Sept. 13, 1885, she married Andrew Jackson CHUMBLEY, son of Robert G. CHUMBLEY & Mary Jane TARTER. I know that, at least, 2-4 of Andrew & Nancy´s 5 children were born near Hickory in Jefferson Twnshp., Grundy Co., MO. Their children were Harry b. 1888, Roy, Elizabeth b. 1890, Lulu b. 1886 & Edna (my grandmother who was born in Daviess Co. in 1899). While researching the cemetery list for Grundy Co., I came across a Burl & Elizabeth EMBRY buried in the Bratton Cemetery located in Jefferson Twnshp. S12 T60N R25W. Burl b. 6-10-1834, d. 2-11-1884 & Elizabeth b. 5-13-1841, d. 2-13-1874. I believe they could be my gg grandparents. I am trying to find out if there were any other siblings, what my gg grandmother´s maiden name was and where did they come from. Looking for any information on Mary HATFIELD born Grundy Co Mo March 6, 1840. Married Andrew Stanley in 1861 who died in 1865. She then married Richard Miller (no date). In 1872 she married Pleasant Davis. She died in 1925 and was buried in family burial ground in Welch cemetery in Welch Ok. At her death children were Maggie Turley,Henry Miller and Joe Davis. Article in the paper noting her death states she was a pioneer of Craig Co.(possibly in Ok.) Any info on her or her parents would be appreciated.

Seeking descendants of Mathias HART, born 1805/07 in Virginia, son of Peter HART and Hannah POE. In 1830 census he was in Vermilion County, IL, with a wife and two small daughters. In 1840 he was in Lafayette Township of Livingston County, MO. In 1850 he was in Harrison County, MO, with wife Margaret (perhaps his second wife) and children Malinda, Elizabeth, Calvin, George, Henry, Antonette, Claracy J., and John. In 1860 he was in the same county with the addition of Elisia, Mary and Alice born after 1850. Have found nothing after that time other than a letter from one daughter, written in 1869 from Myersville in Grundy County to a cousin in Harrison County. Where did this family go? Any help appreciated.
